Days after the Indian Government banned PUBG Mobile & PUBG Mobile Lite, Indian publisher nCore Games announced their upcoming action-based game FAU-G (Fearless And United-Guards). The game seems to be Indian’s own version of PUBG Mobile. The release of FAU-G is an addition to India’s Atma Nirbhar movement, a movement which promotes the Indian industry towards self-reliance. 20% of the net revenue generated by FAU-G will go towards Bharat Ke Veer, a trust which provides homage and support to Indian soldiers and their families. While playing this game, besides entertainment, players will also learn about the sacrifices of the Indian soldiers. However, only time will tell if FAU-G can replace the huge crowd sensation for PUBG Mobile in India.


Apex Legends Mobile

EA and Respawn entertainment decided to port their massively popular game, Apex Legends to Mobile devices. As per reports, the game will be available for both Android and iOS devices. Diablo Immortal

Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition

Warhammer: Odyssey

Warhammer Odyssey is a free to play massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Virtual Realms. The game will be based on a 3D open world. Although the teaser does not reveal much other than the different environments of the game, we can hope that the game will be good enough to keep the players engaged. League of Legends: Wild Rift

Wild Rift is Riot‘s take on a mobile MOBA that will feature many well-known Champions and characteristics of League of Legends. Lootland

Freshly announced on December 16th, 2019, the multiplayer shooter Lootland will be soft-launched in 2020. According to publisher Nitro Games, the game is going to be a casual co-op shooter that seems to focus on PvE. While we haven’t gotten many insights yet, it looks like players have to collaborate in order to defeat waves of monsters. In case you haven’t played any other games developed by Nitro Games, the trailer to Heroes of Warland will provide you with a basic idea of what to expect in terms of game design.


Project Odin

First revealed last August, Project Odin is the brainchild of Lionheart Studios, a new developed based in South Korea. The studios’ maiden game and also quite an ambitious one, Project Odin has been touted as the “first mobile game to use 3D scan and motion capture for realistic and immersive play.” With Norse mythology, the game teaser gives strong vibes from the classic game Shadow of the Colossus. Originally set to launch this year in South Korea, the game, although it is an MMORPG for mobile devices, looks nothing less than an “ultra-realistic” AAA console game.


Vainglory All Stars

The founders behind popular Vainglory, Super Evil Mega Corp, with their new studio Bazooka Tango announced their new game Vainglory All-Stars. The studio’s first mega-project takes the beloved characters of the Vainglory into a 3v3 brawler where players will battle it out in a more colorful setting than in its MOBA relative. As announced by the studio founder CaptainNeato the game is in an early stage build and pre-registrations are already open on their site with the technical beta already being launched in Brazil.


Path of Exile Mobile

In November 2019, Grinding Gear Games announced, they are bringing their hit Free to Play Action RPG Path of Exile for mobile devices. As declared by the studios, the game will be devoid of any “bullshit trends” such as microtransactions and pay-to-win elements. Being developed by the same team that worked on the original console versions, the developers emphasize that the mobile version will basically be the original game tailored for smartphone screens and smaller gaming sessions in mind. Unfortunately, there is no news on the release date of Path of Exile Mobile.


Devil May Cry Mobile

Devil May Cry, the famous game franchise by CAPCOM, is all set to make it to mobiles by 2020. Although authorized by CAPCOM, the game is developed by Yun Chang Games. According to reports the game already has a name ie The Battle of the Peak. Scheduled for a 2020 release date for a long time, this fan-favorite game inherits the combos of original DMC’s freedom and flexibility, both skills, and strategy, gorgeous and unrestrained fighting style. If you are into thrilling spy games, this is something that would get you on your feet. Epic Games and Bad Robot Games together have developed a thrilling, mix of action and strategy game, SPYJINX. Spyjinx would gameplay in a secret world of espionage with thrilling heist where the player is referred to as Mastermind. The game would feature crazy tech gadgets, have character development RPG mode, and also ahead to head multiplayer mode. Marvel Future Revolution

Catalyst Black

Previously code-named Project SpellfireSuper Evil MegaCorp the developers of Vainglory has been working on this title for quite some time. However, they finally revealed the final title of the game as Catalyst Black and defined its genre as a Battleground shooter. The game features multiple massive maps where players can drop-in and out anytime, and engage in activities that involve both NPCs as well as other players. Total War: Elysium

Total War: Elysium is one of Creative Assembly’s developments in the Collectible Card Game (CCG) genre. According to the developers, the game is for CCG and strategy fans who take interest in playing a game based on a historical theme. The game is free-to-play. It involves players battling head to head online against other players. You get to play exciting battles by building masterful decks. This is with cards that have some of history’s legendary generals and warriors for different periods. As announced by the devs, the game is currently under closed beta for android. You can sign up for the beta, from their official site. Yet without a release date, the game will be launching simultaneously on both PC and mobile devices alike.


Spine

On May 2020, Nekki and Banzai Games made the announcement of their next project, titled Spine. A thirty-second teaser of the game is available to watch on various media platforms. Set in the near future, the game revolves around an advanced piece of tech by the name of Spine. It’s a combat AI that connects to the spinal cord of the human body and can control every muscle. This technology sets up a Cyberpunk Environment. Currently in the pre-production stage. the game looks really promising from the teaser.


Chroma Bloom and Blight

Chroma: Bloom and Blight, is a CCG (Collectible Card Game) and is being backed on Kickstarter, the famous project-funding platform. The monetization is a very interesting aspect of the game. According to the devs instead of having to purchase packs to play the game, you have access to all cards from the very beginning. All cards, the entire collection, is free for all players right from the beginning. If this holds true on the day of the final release, Chroma will be the first-ever game to give all the cards to the players for free, with no unlock mechanics at all. With a promising look, Chroma is set for a November 2020 release for PC and the devs are trying their best to roll it out on mobile at the same time.


Shadow Fight Arena

Recently Game Developer Nekki released details with a gameplay video for its upcoming team-based fighting game Shadow Fight Arena before it’s release. It looks like it will another action-packed game like its other titles. However, unlike SF3, the game will be entirely PvP focused. Although the release date for the full version of Shadow Fight Arena is currently unknown but most likely after the open beta in 2020. Gamevil and Slightly Mad Studios are teaming up to bring racing simulator Project Cars to Android. The game, called Project Cars Go, will be Gamevil’s first attempt to bring a racing game to mobile devices. Already a popular racing game on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, Project Cars is finally coming to handheld devices. It is rumoured to come with loads of exotic cars and tons of customization options, just like the PC and console versions. Known for providing authentic racing experience, Project Cars Go is one of the upcoming mobile games the entire racing fanbase is looking forward to. The game is yet to have an official release date.


Plant vs Zombies 3

Plants vs. Zombies 3, the latest installment in the company’s popular tower defense series from Electronic Arts (EA) is the one most popular upcoming mobile games. Following the original games’ success, the series is already a popular franchise. In-game, you will be getting back your favorite plant and zombie characters – plus new pals for your backyard. You’ll defend your town in classic, lane-based tower defense combat, while you encounter new zombie bosses that will put your skills to the test. Fallout Shelter Online

Developed by Shengqu Games and launched by Gaea Mobile for China back in 2017, the title is set to release with English, Korean, and Japanese languages. Fallout Shelter Online allows players to recruit characters from the franchise which will develop ‘bonds‘ if combined well together. Familiar faces from Fallout, including the likes of Nick Valentine from Fallout 4 are available in-game. The biggest difference between the original Fallout Shelter and its online counterpart is that the latter introduced a gacha-style hero collecting system. Currently available only in a few selected countries in Asia, we can expect a global release soon.

Chinese Gaming Giant NetEase Inc and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced a partnership for the development of their upcoming strategy game, The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War on 15th June 2020. Set in the Third Age of Middle-earth, this latest mobile strategy game will feature iconic characters and locations from the original trilogy. Based on the iconic series by J.R.R. Impossible Bottles

Described as a Rhythm Game, Impossible Bottles from Honig Studios is one of it’s kind. You place yourself on the shoes of a genius scientist who wants to end the global energy crisis by finding an environment-friendly solution through music. Each robot represents a decade of electronic music starting from the 1960s and follows up to the future in 2050. NetEase is developing a new AAA game, with a tentative title, Project Ragnarok. An open-world adventure game inspired by Nordic mythology,  The Ragnarok will have cross-platform support offering a free interactive dynamic open world. With the title being just announced and no release date as of yet, there is much expectation to this game as it would be released on PC, Consoles and Mobile versions. Traditionally known for Chinese MMO style experiences on PC so it will be an interesting experience to see the evolution of triple-A style PC games by NetEase.


King of Hunters

Originally slated to release back in 2018, King of Hunters was intended to be Battle Royale mixed with a MOBA that would make its way to both iOS and Android at some stage. Several closed beta tests where a release date was never mentioned. Set in an interactive multi-tire open world, the players will need to equip themselves with the right set of careers and weapons to conquer the world. ith Netease announcing the game’s trailer on twitter, we can expect a release date finally soon.

NetEase has announced a new cyberpunk game for mobile. According to analyst Daniel Ahmad, the game is based in a chaotic and dangerous futuristic city. In this game, players will become bounty hunters to maneuver among forces and to make their way to become a legend With crime and darkness are hiding behind the flashing of neon lights this is one of the upcoming mobile games which seems really promising with its teaser. With just an announcement, the game is yet to receive any release dates.


Harry Potter: Magic Awakened

Showcased by Netease at their Sixth Annual Product Launch Conference, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is co-developed and officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and will launch under the Portkey Games label. The gameplay will be focused on collectible cards and features strategy roleplay elements that are set to delight the Potterhead fans. Set some years after the Second Wizarding War, it invites players to embark on their very own illustrious wizarding journey, which includes mastering spells, recruiting allies, and devising unique strategies and magical combinations for player versus player combat. H1Z1 Mobile

Battle Royale game, similar to PUBG andFortnite, where you jump out of an airplane with up to 150 other players and start looking for guns, ammo, and then take down enemies. With a PC and PS4 version already available, NantWorks has joined Daybreak Games to bring this game across mobile platforms.


EverQuest Mobile

The game which revolutionized the MMORPG genre, and set its toneEverQuest is finally coming to mobile devices. The new partnership of NantWorks and Daybreak made the arrival or EverQuest and H1Z1 in mobile devices. With the hope that bringing the game to mobile will result in its expansion in the burgeoning e-sports market. With the original game having launched nearly 20 years ago, EverQuest mobile is one of the most sought after upcoming mobile games. It’s yet to receive a release date.


Pokemon Sleep

Japanese developers Select Button partnered with Niantic, the brains behind the famous Augmented Reality game Pokemon Go announcedtheir new game which would turn sleeping into entertainment. The game would track the amount of time a user sleeps, using the accelerometer of the external Poké Ball Plus accessory, and communicates the data to the user’s mobile device via Bluetooth for sleep-related gameplay. Though the gameplay specifics have not been revealed, it is scheduled to release in 2020 and it’s unique mechanics make it one of the most awaited upcoming mobile games.


Pokémon UNITE

Pokémon UNITE is a 5v5 MOBA genre game developed jointly by The Pokémon Company and Tencent Games’ TiMi Studios. This is planned for a cross-platform release for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices (both Android & iOs). As per the game’s website, it will be free-to-start. In this game, players will face off against each other in 5v5 team battles. During fights, players will have to cooperate with their teammates to catch wild Pokémons and then level up and evolve their own Pokémons. My Time at Portia

My time at Portia’ is a farming RPG simulator developed by Pathea Games and published by Team 17 Digital Limited. The game takes you back to the beautiful city of Portia set in a post-apocalyptic era. Your main objective is to restore your family workshop to its former glory, at the same time building up a farm, raising animals, growing crops, and making acquaintances with the people of Portia. Mini DayZ 2

A 2D top-view pixel art version of DAYZ called Mini DAYZ was made available by the developer’s Bohemia Interactive, for smartphones, to give mobile gamers a chance to live the DayZ experience on their portable handheld device. Currently, the devs are working on an upcoming sequel to Mini DAYZ, titled Mini DAYZ 2, which would also be available for both Android & iOS. Similar to the original DayZ and it’s mobile version Mini DAYZ, Mini DAYZ 2 is also an action-based survival video game that is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Romans: Age of Caesar

Back in January, the official announcement of Romans: Age of Caesar for mobile was made. A Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO), Romans: Age of Caesar is the latest historical strategy game from developers Firefly Studios. The development of the title was to be the first-ever online cooperative city builder. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. In the game, there will be an Online Continent where the players will have control of an individual city. They must rebuild Rome while sharing resources, re-establishing trade routes, and protecting their cities from barbarian invasion. Onmyoji: The Card Game

Originally launched way back in 2018, Onmyoji is yet another fantasy RPG that is making its way to mobile. Its spin-off was a former release named Onmyoji Arena, and a prequel is currently on its way. The upcoming release is named Onmyoji: The Card Game and is set for a soft launch in Singapore, Australia, Philippines, and Thailand by late 2020. The upcoming release will watch players as they dive into Shinkiro, land, and home of the Yokai, and they will get to play a card game known as Hyakabun. As expected, due to the fact that it’s a spin-off, the upcoming card game will carry its art style from the initial RPG game. This game takes its inspiration from Japanese folklore. The Pathless

The Pathless is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Giant Squid and published by Annapurna Interactive. In the game, the player controls the Hunter, who must find a way to lift the curse on an island. The hunter is a master archer. She must use her bows and arrows to shoot talismans scattered throughout the world, which will fill the Hunter’s dash meter and allow her to swiftly navigate the game’s world. With a promising look, The Pathless is set for a November 2020 release on Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation.


Roller Champions

Ubisoft has revealed that its forthcoming free-to-play multiplayer skating game Roller Champions is coming to mobile. Announced at E3 2019, the game sees two teams of three players skating around a velodrome vying for possession of a ball by tackling, dodging, passing, and otherwise behaving exactly the way a person on skates shouldn’t. SaGa Frontier Remastered

Square Enix is all set to remaster their classic RPG SaGa Frontier by the Summer of 2021. The game is featuring the contents which the devs cut from the original version. Saga Frontier was launched in 1998 exclusively for PlayStation 1. The SaGa Frontier remastered version is set to feature updated graphics, events, cutscenes, enhancements and a new protagonist! Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II – THE SITH LORDS

Star Wars is one of the most successful franchises of all time, for sure. One of its main strengths was always the games based on the story, and the immersion in the Star Wars Universe. Probably with that in mind (and several requests from fans), Aspyr and Lucasfilm have confirmed that the newest title Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II – THE SITH LORDS which will see a release on December 18th, 2020 for both Android and iOS and we shall see everyone willing to join forces with the Light Side or the Dark side. Tomb Raider Reloaded

A new mobile game based on the fictional series, Tomb Raider, will be releasing next year. Emerald City Games have partnered up with the Square Enix London mobile team to develop and release Tomb Raider Reloaded for mobile devices. Boom Beach: Frontlines

A new Boom Beach is coming to both Android & iOS from Supercell’s collaborator Space Ape Games! Boom Beach: Frontlines will be the latest addition to the very popular Boom Beach universe. From what we know so far, the game is a multiplayer strategy-based RPG. The game is currently up for pre-registration on TapTap and it has a perfect 10 rating on the app as of now! Frontlines is still in alpha and nothing has been confirmed about the release dates. Check out the gameplay from the tutorial!


Auto Chess MOBA

Dragon Nest is coming up with a MOBA themed Auto Chess game to rival DOTA 2, based on the Auto Chess universe with all Auto Chess characters becoming heroes in the game. The most exciting thing – all the heroes will be free! The upcoming Auto Chess MOBA will not be like the other MOBAs. There, players would need to grind gold or whatever currency is required to purchase heroes and expand their champion pool. But the announced game will release all heroes for free and allow them better flexibility in their champion selection. This is much more new-player friendly when compared to traditional MOBAs. Will the Auto Chess MOBA be able to compete with the likes of LOL Wild Rift? We’ll find out when it releases!
